This Week I Put Three Products Up Against Their Closest Rivals

  • marketcrash
  • grabgpu
  • checkmystay

This week I compared each of my products with the tool people usually use in its place. Every time, the gap came down to one thing: whether the tool does the work or leaves it to you. Here is the best reason to switch in each case.

MarketCrash vs Multpl: a verdict, not just a ratio

I respect Multpl. MarketCrash actually gets its Shiller PE history from there. But a ratio on its own leaves you anxious and unsure what to do. The Shiller PE page shows 41.87 against a mean of 17.42, and it offers no score, alerts or screeners to help you act on that.

Why switch: MarketCrash combines the Buffett Indicator, the 10Y-2Y yield curve and CAPE into one Crash Risk score. It also tracks risks no P/E ratio will show you: Oil Shock, AI Debt, Private Credit, Treasury Dump and Debt Spiral. Stock screeners run every weekday after the US close.

GrabGPU vs ComputePrices: stop chasing GPUs you can’t rent

ComputePrices covers more ground than we do. It tracks 111 providers and lists token prices too. If you want the widest possible list, it’s a good choice. But a cheap H100 doesn’t help you if there’s nothing in stock to launch.

Why switch: GrabGPU’s in-stock page ranks only the capacity providers report as available, cheapest first. It also notes that “9 of the 56 models we track are priced by somebody and stocked by nobody.” Those 9 never show up in your shortlist. Builders get one more advantage: getting a ComputePrices API key starts a 14-day trial, while the GrabGPU API needs no key and has no signup.

CheckMyStay vs RevuWise: get the verdict without asking for it

RevuWise answers the questions you type about Booking.com reviews. That’s useful if you already know what to ask. The problems that ruin a trip are usually the ones you’d never think to ask about.

Why switch: CheckMyStay asks nothing of you. It gives you a verdict, what guests like and what they complain about. For one Saint-Malo aparthotel, it read 20 reviews, 10 positive and 10 negative, and surfaced recurring sewer odors and street noise behind the clean, modern photos. See that report.

The bottom line

All three products work on the same idea: you shouldn’t have to put the answer together yourself. Before your next trade, GPU job or hotel booking, try the tool that gives you the answer first:

Pick the one that solves your problem today and give it a try. If it saves you an hour, tell me about it.
